New Starts

2011 was not a good stitching year for me.  Due to many factors - some within my control and some out of it.  I stitched very little, and don't think I started or finished any projects.  So far 2012 is a much different (and better) year.  Below are projects I already this year :)  I'm re-arranging my priorities to include more stitching time - my happy meter appreciates it!

First Big Projects

I can't remember in what order these were made, but these are the first two "big" projects I remember working on.  I think Sleeping Beauty was the first, I did not do a very good job of keeping track of such things back then.  I should have listened to my Mother - ha ha ha :)  Both were found from cross-stitch magazines my Mom had, don't know the name or issues though.
In the end the quilt turned out alright, but I learned an important lesson about frogging from this project.  I should have done some right after I started and chose not too.  I ended up paying for it for the rest of the stitching.  Lesson learned!

Finding a First

My Parents have recently been under going a major clear out of the family home.  Here is one of the treasures found.

I think the fabric count is 7.  This was one of the first things I ever stitched.  It was fun to see it again.  Within each vertical line the crosses are going the same direction but not all the lines are the same - I laughed at that :)

First Finish of 2012

This is for my youngest niece, who turned on earlier this month.  I've done something similar for each of her other siblings and figured she deserved one as well.
